A one hundred and twenty-five tons per day compressed biogas plant is set to be built in north Delhi to manage cattle waste and reduce pollution in the Yamuna. The plant, which will be constructed between the Bhalaswa and Jharoda dairies, will have a capacity to process seventy-five tonnes per day of waste from each dairy. This initiative aims to convert waste into clean energy, and officials estimate that it will help cut twenty percent of the pollution in the Yamuna that comes from dairy waste and other sources.
